Creatures

Quite unexpectedly, there are moments that ask to be captured and these can be juxtapositions of subjects: the black cow that is happily chewing the cud as a yacht with a black sail passes; magpies picking insects from the back of a sheep.  Some evoke mood: a ginger tomcat left in an empty house, looking out through the window; another – captive - gazing longingly through a wire fence.

Some moments have a humorous touch.  Although not a cat lover I have found that they are often related to cats: a tabby sleeping outside a village shop, unaware of the ‘Hello Kitty’ products stacked on the shelf above him; a cat curled up in a flower pot waking and lifting his head in annoyance…

And then there are moments of pure joy which are so rare: three lambs - days old - jostling one another as they discover their legs.
